Solutions Airflow Specialist (Remote)

As a member of our team, you will be at the forefront of the industry as we strive to make Apache Airflow the de-facto standard in data orchestration.

As aSolutions Airflow Specialist on our team, you will get a front row seat to almost all aspects of the company and help ensure that our growth is guided by strong technical alignment with the needs of our customers and users. You will be responsible for on-boarding new customers into our Astronomer Cloud platform and guide them through their journey to make them successful. You will grow to have a deep understanding of both Apache Airflow and Astronomer as you work with organizations ranging from seed stage startups to Fortune 50 enterprises.

You’ll be able to speak to and deliver solutions around data orchestration, Apache Airflow and the Astronomer platform. You'll work with your fellow solutions team members to build solutions integrating multiple products and open source projects. You'll be a trusted advisor and help develop solutions across all types of use cases. Last but not least, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with the Apache Airflow project, a thriving open source community with over 1000 contributors.

Every Solutions Engineer will grow to become an Airflow expert and be a trusted advisor to organizations looking to put their data in motion.

Responsibilities

Work with new Astronomer Cloud customers to ensure successful onboarding onto the Astronomer Cloud Platform.

Collaborate with solutions teams on customer projects to develop airflow pipelines

Become a subject matter expert on the competitive landscape of workflow orchestration

Work cross functionally within the organization to create and maintain deep technical content for the larger Apache Airflow community

Act as a liaison, collecting feedback from the field to relay back to the Product team

A strong candidate is:

Excited about Airflow and Data Orchestration and how other technologies are used successfully with Airflow

Enthusiastic about solving data problems

A great communicator

Familiar with ETL, Data Orchestration, Big Data concepts and technologies

Great Python programming skills

Nice to have:

Experienced working with customers in a consulting capacity and/or in Services

Experience with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, AWS, GCP, Azure)

Experience with Databases and/or data processing technologies

Experience 1-2 years
