Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Data Enablement, the Sr Data Governance Analyst is responsible for assisting to develop, implement, and evaluate a data governance framework that applies to the entire organization. This position will work with SMEs across all business domains within PointClickCare to understand and address data quality issues and help expand the data stewardship network to achieve data quality and governance goals.

Sr Data Governance Analyst will improve the integrity, discoverability, and accessibility of shared data assets by leading the integration and enterprise-wide use of Data Governance Tools and Technologies to improve data value creation across the enterprise. This position brings value through the insights and recommendations from data analyses and collaboration with the business to enhance data quality, improve data practices, and enable strategic decision-making.

This position supports the expansion of the growing emphasis on data quality and data governance in a highly data-driven organization. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada or the U.S. The ideal candidate brings seasoned experience in data quality practices, data governance and cross-functional business-facing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide the Data Enablement & Business Intelligence teams with data analysis from researching systems and processes, profiling data via SQL queries, and validating data quality requirements.
    • Develop workflows within Erwin Data Intelligence/Data Quality Suite
    • Develop integrations between Erwin Data Intelligence/Data Quality and other metadata and lineage tools (Purview, Manta, etc)
    • Design and build comprehensive Data Quality Solution for the data residing in the Azure cloud
    • Lead and partner with data stewardship across the organization to operationalize the Data Governance/Data Quality framework.
    • Champion/Lead data governance and data quality initiatives by promoting ideas into action; including developing and implementing data quality dashboards, rules, communication, and adoption.
    • Coordinates with various stakeholders and leaders across business functions to apply established data governance framework (training and education, developing data stewardship, data custodian roles, data dictionary, definitions and documentation, approval, and sign-off protocols).
    • Oversee data quality management and data quality issue prioritization.
    • Leads and contributes developing data governance and data quality policies, processes, and documentation.
    • Implementing and maintaining the Corporate Metadata Solution and ensuring teams adhere to existing data management practices.
    • Support corporate data quality initiatives through recommendation for solutions and leadership around data validation.
    • Analyze and understand corporate data across data domains, on both source and target levels.
    • Collaborate with other data analysts from cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and educate data stewardship on data governance principles.
    • Develops excellent rapport and communication skills with the business partners, cross-functional leaders, developers/engineers, data analysts, as well as the management team. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Identify new opportunities for data governance continually.

Required Experience:

    • Lead teams to address Data Governance accountability between Data Stewards, Data Accountables, System administrators and Integration teams
    • Experience with meta data repositories/data catalogs
    • Expert knowledge of the data management framework/data lifecycle
    • Overall understanding of enterprise applications and business functions (Sales, CRM, Finance)
    • Expert knowledge in data analysis (preferably within software development, data delivery, and data analytics settings).
    • Have a post-secondary degree in Computing, Mathematics or Healthcare Informatics
    • 7+ years experience and expert knowledge in data warehouse architecture, integrating and relating data. data analysis, data modeling and data reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau, SSRS)
    • 7+ years’ experience with SQL, DAX, .Net, C#, or JavaScript
    • 3+ years’ experience in data integration tools: Mulesoft, Workato, Snaplogic, etc
    • 3+ years’ experience in BPM Scripting
    • 3+ years’ experience with RESTFul API integration with 3rd party tools using programming languages
    • 3+ years experience in a software engineering, leveraging Python, etc.
    • Have 7+ years of data analysis experience with increasing responsibility.
    • Have 7+ years of experience in data management or data governance.
    • Experience with an enterprise data platform (Microsoft stack preferred)
    • A good understanding of database management is beneficial
    • Are highly knowledgeable in databases and in-depth knowledge in SQL.
    • Have hands-on experience in data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
    • Are experienced with CRM tools such as Salesforce and NetSuite.
    • Are exceptional at rapport building and creative problem solving.
    • Have strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
    • Are goal-oriented, positive, a self-starter, with strong analytical skills.
    • Are a data detective with excellent communication, known for collaborating and your ability to communicate complex data findings to various audiences.
    • Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results while guiding and facilitating business partners in solving data quality issues.

$80,000 - $90,000 a year
At PointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package. The US base salary range for this position is $80,000 - 90,000 + bonus or commission + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience including professional and lived experience, and/or work location.
