The Difference You Will Make:

Airbnb is seeking a Staff, Advanced Analytics,, Core Host Supply & Community, to support our VP Supply and VP Community and their teams. The role focuses on attribution and incrementality of scaled actions to drive acquisition, improve listing quality and management, enhance feature adoption, and foster engagement. The individual in this role will oversee multiple surfaces, including outbound communications, in-product surfaces, education channels, and community forums, with the goal of driving the growth of high-quality and well-priced nights from our core supply of non-professional hosts. This role requires a deep understanding of causal modeling, time-series analysis, and offline experiments, with a specific focus on core host supply and community engagement.

A Typical Day: 

  • Employ advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions related to acquisition, listing quality, feature adoption, and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP Supply and VP Community and their teams, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Design and execute offline experiments, measuring their impact and deriving insights for future strategies.
  • Utilize causal modeling to understand the attribution and incrementality of our actions across various channels.
  • Integrate with business technology tooling to execute experiments, surface insights, and embed recommendations into the system for optimized results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science, to align strategies and leverage synergies.
  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships independently, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment on analytics initiatives.

Your Expertise:

  • 9+ years of industry experience with a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
  • Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting.
  • Deep understanding of time-series analysis, causal modeling, and experience in designing, running, and measuring offline experiments.
  • Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across functions independently.
  • An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Pay Range

$172,000—$243,500 USD
