Joining Collibra's AI Engineering team

We are looking for an experienced Staff Data Scientist who will assist in delivering Artificial Intelligence solutions which improve our customer’s experience and enable informed, data-driven decision making. We are looking for someone excited about working on cutting edge technologies to help build these pragmatic, performant AI solutions. You’ll collaborate with a team of outstanding builders around the world, characterized by a love for innovative technology, a desire to solve problems, and a never-ending goal to build simple, elegant products that delight customers and simplify all levels of data engagement. You will be working primarily with other Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Machine Learning Operations Engineers as well as other departments at Collibra.

Staff Data Scientists at Collibra are responsible for

  • Monitoring the AI/ML landscape, staying abreast of new techniques and algorithms.
  • Translating academic concepts into pragmatic solutions addressing specific business needs.
  • Developing, operationalizing, and supporting AI/ML models to drive actionable insights.
  • Evaluating algorithmic results for quality, adaptability, and efficiency.
  • Contributing to the evolution of Collibra's AI and ML platforms to enhance data products.

You have

  • 7+ years of experience performing data and AI/ML projects related to business functions incorporating advanced techniques. Experience in NLP, and neural networks, is preferred
  • Proficiency in Python and associated Data Science modules for efficient solution development.
  • Educational background in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience with mathematical principles driving Generative AI technologies; experience being part of building an LLM application
  • Experienced with SQL, relational databases, and query authoring.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
  • This position  is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify foundational problems and sustainable solutions.
  • Adaptable and eager to contribute to the success of Discovery projects.

Measures of success

  • Within your first month, familiarize yourself with Collibra's data platform and products.
  • By the third month, begin developing new AI/ML models and data products within Discovery projects.
  • Within your sixth month, collaborate with delivery teams to operationalize and deploy solutions into production.

Compensation for This Role

The standard base salary range for this position is 168,000- 200,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.

In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
