Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. We ignite the passions of global sports fans and maximize the presence and reach for our hundreds of sports partners globally by offering products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect, and Bet. Through the Fanatics platform, sports fans can buy licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle and streetwear products, headwear, and hardgoods; collect physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets; and bet as the company builds its Sportsbook and iGaming platform. Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of FDS and the the various business units it supports
  • Lead initiatives to support building data-centric processes to benefit the organization and its business units
  • Build data objects and assets to support business intelligence and data science use cases
  • Set a high standard for engineering excellence through example
  • Contribute to hiring and training other engineering team members
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, inside and outside of Engineering, and collaborate with leaders to gather and present testing metrics and activities.
  • Must be open to occasional travel to Fanatics offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team building activities


Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with analysts, product managers, and more
  • Ability to advise and earn the trust of partners and engineering leadership
  • Experience in large-scale cloud databases
  • Experience in data transformation and performance optimization
  • Ability to deliver service and data integrations between different teams and 3rd parties.
  • Experience with modern tech stack and languages (Kubernetes, Data warehousing, Python or R, SQL, ElasticSearch, Kafka / SNS)
  • Positive and flexible attitude to work in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to embrace new initiatives.     
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to represent complex topics in a succinct way
  • Experience working within AWS environment and Snowflake
  • Must be open to occasional travel to events and Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings.

*Salary Range: $144,000 to $282,000
 Actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate’s geographic location)
The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is listed in USD; actual salary will vary based on location.
