The role

We are seeking a Staff Pricing Analyst to join our Borrow Organization. This is an exciting role for someone to make a direct impact on the revenue of SoFi. We’re looking for an execution focused, strategic thinker with a governance background to support SoFi’s regulated environment. As a Staff Pricing Analyst, you will be working closely on the Pricing Execution and Governance team with a world-class team of business leaders and data scientists to help SoFi implement, and analyze pricing strategies across our consumer lending products. 

What you’ll do:

Pricing Execution & Governance (60%)

  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of all pricing strategies across the consumer lending businesses
  • Build appropriate governance and controls framework including pricing validations to improve the execution quality and improve efficiency of validations.
  • Ensure development of all essential guidelines that accurately adheres to industry rules and regulations
  • Minimize deployment and execution error through enhancement of pricing validation and guardrails
  • Interact and collaborate with Engineering teams to continuously monitor data pipelines to ensure pricing strategy is running as expected
  • Derive and present insights related to Pricing strategy audits to business leaders.

Pricing Reporting (20%)

  • Monitor the pricing accuracy through construction of Tableau dashboards related to expected/actual pricing strategy KPIs
  • Build appropriate reporting framework to improve insight generation.
  • Derive and present insights related to Pricing execution to business leaders.

Cross-Functional Representation (20%)

  • Represent Pricing team with internal cross functional team on major technology and product initiatives to ensure strategies are executed as per the intent
  • Work with external partners to ensure flawless price execution across affiliate partner environments  

What you’ll need:

  • B.S. or M.S.. in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics or a related quantitative field is required for this position;
  • 6-10 years of industrial experience working in the area of data analysis/data governance 
  • Understanding of banking laws, regulations and audit practices
  • Exceptional programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Strong knowledge of Tableau and experience building production-level dashboards
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with strong attention to detail;
  • Effective communication skills and ability to explain complex models in simple terms;
  • Strong relationship building and collaborative skills;
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills;

  • Experience in building pricing models/strategies;
  • Experience working with product and/or engineering teams 
  • Experience with Snowflake 
  • Experience with Gitlab
