About the team and role

In this greenfield role as our first ever Talent Intelligence Lead, you will craft and build our talent research and intelligence function from scratch - developing its identity and impact across Canva. Taking the business on an exciting journey, you will pioneer our approach in developing research and market insights (including competitive intelligence) to drive TA strategies. As a natural problem solver, you will take a curious and inquisitive approach to solving some of Canva’s most complex recruiting and growth challenges. You will develop a deep understanding of Canva’s future growth plans and build out insights-driven recommendations that will help shape and evolve how, where and who we hire.

What you'll do

    • You will build tailored market intelligence programs to evolve our TA strategies, with an eye for the future in this highly competitive talent landscape
    • You will deep-dive into Canva’s most critical business areas and skills gaps, and understand who, where and how we can adapt our TA strategies for success
    • You will build out competitive scorecards, partnering with our talent acquisition team to help them optimally position Canva for continued hiring success
    • You will explore our people data and forecasted headcount growth to build out data-driven recommendations that align with our mission to empower the world to design
    • You will guide, develop and influence Canva’s leadership team with regards to Canva’s talent agenda and critical market insights
    • You will be tasked with building out the foundations of the role, including team playbooks, documentation and operational diligence

What we're looking for

    • Significant experience thinking strategically about broad business challenges, ideally within the Talent Acquisition or People Operations space (you may have experience working in consulting, market research, workforce strategy, leadership recruitment or organizational design)
    • Highly curious nature and passion about the role of data and intelligence in workforce and TA strategy
    • Proven ability to synthesizing large amounts of data from multiple sources and translating this into practical solutions and strategy recommendations
    • Creativity, understanding that there might be multiple ways to solve problems - you enjoy testing, learning and iterating to come up with the best possible solution
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to rally multiple teams together towards key priorities
    • Confident relationship builder - the challenge of proving out our Talent Intelligence function with key business stakeholders excites you
    • Excellent operational precision, valuing the importance of documentation and team playbooks
