The Role:
As Grand Rounds Health grows and continues enhancing its product offerings, maintaining operational excellence necessitates high visibility into future demand for its services. This role will play a critical part in enabling the company to scale by building robust capacity plans and conducting in-depth analyses into variance and performance drivers, ultimately translating those insights into actionable recommendations. The position will conduct sophisticated workforce scenario analyses in support of executive-level operational decisions that have broad impacts across the entire organization. This role is a strong fit for candidates who enjoy applying data-driven solutions to address a range of complex challenges in support of our ambitious mission to raise the standard of healthcare for everyone, everywhere.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop a deep understanding of Grand Rounds Health product lines, customers, and member experience to become a subject matter expert for underlying drivers to changes in volumes, arrival, and staffing patterns
    • Build workforce forecast models to support rolling capacity forecasts for existing and new product lines based on historical trends and expected demand
    • Analyze and report on historical trends and key forecast variance drivers versus plan to provide actionable recommendations / course corrections to business teams
    • Perform sophisticated scenario analyses and succinctly communicate findings to support executive-level decision making
    • Partner with teams such as Go-to-Market, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to acquire deep understanding of sales pipeline, seasonality, marketing calendars, and product release calendars before translating these business inputs into rolling forecasts, staffing models, and actionable analyses
    • Partner with Finance / Systems / Business Analytics to help develop internal tools to make planning models more scalable and support staffing strategies
    • Manage performance guarantees through routing and monitoring systems, providing operational guidance to drive optimal member experiences 
    • Collaborate across departments to develop and drive partnerships in support of achieving shared goals
    • Interact with stakeholders to identify and analyze data to isolate issues, develop solutions, and prioritize opportunities to improve the experience of our customers
    • Independently solve complex issues with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of total experience; 3+ years of experience in a workforce management or operational analysis role with prior healthcare experience required
    • Demonstrated understanding of workforce management and demand forecasting best practices and procedures
    • Enjoys complex problem solving and can employ both quantitative and qualitative information to identify patterns and discover new insights about our business
    • Works well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing competing priorities with ambiguous data points
    • Highly collaborative and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders
    • Highly organized / detail-oriented with a strong business acumen
    • Strong mathematical / statistical knowledge and experience with common data / forecasting software such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Looker, Anaplan, and NICE/IEX
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Operations, or other relevant fields
