The Role:
Our Business Analytics Consultants (BACs) use a blend of analytical, technical, and consulting skills to create clarity, develop insights, and support diverse stakeholders across the company. This role serves as not just a developer of insights and reports, but also thought leadership in Business Intelligence, data visualization, and exploratory analysis. The BAC does not just maintain existing reporting but is encouraged to show curiosity and develop new insights and measurements. BACs are responsible for leveraging and enhancing existing data assets and pipelines to create actionable insights, identify trends, and discover opportunities for data literacy and cohesion. Additionally, the BAC consultant will present and share findings with key stakeholders across analytic, engineering, business, and technology organizations, translating complex idea to direct feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Understands data visualization and develops solutions using tools such as Tableau to effectively communicate and support the translation of data and analytics insights in business terms to key stakeholders.
- Develops fundamental understanding of core business problems and looks for opportunities and recommendations to use analytical insight.
- Supports activities to develop analytical strategy and identify high priority initiatives.
- Provides direction on where data and analytics could be leveraged to make key business decisions.
- Gathers critical information from stakeholders to understand analytical usage, requirements, and enhancement needs.
- Develops a solid tactical understating of how the business works, what their operational processes look like, and where data and analytics could be leveraged to make more effective data-driven decisions.
- Supports high complexity projects/products and drives lower impact projects/products from ideation to delivery in an Agile-like framework, with an emphasis on measurable, value add deliverables.
- Supports clear product/project communication throughout the project/product to all stakeholders involved regarding scope, timeline, issues, and any revisions to them.
- Keeps abreast of industry and technology developments and supports experiments to identify new tools, methods, and techniques to meet the needs of the business.
- Maintains and supports partnerships through the development process to ensure the successful transition of low complexity research to an operational state within the business unit
Required Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of related experience·
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess excellent quantitative and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data
- Demonstrate business acumen to support consulting efforts with business clients
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large and complex datasets
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau,PowerBI, or similar
- Experience with data transformation and extraction tools like Python or R is a plus
- Ability to make sound decisions utilizing problem solving approaches and decision frameworks
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations to business clients· Effectively communicate concepts, tools and techniques· Manage multiple priorities given aggressive timelines and comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment· Ability to support data and technical projects
- Ability to revise and communicate tactics to support changing strategies and direction· Excellent presentation skills; presenting ideas to multiple levels of stakeholders, including senior leaders
Compensation offered for this role is $61,500.00-$105,750.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
