As a Data Engineer Lead within PNC's Retail Lending Group, you will be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Charlotte, North Carolina, McLean, Virginia, Houston, Texas or within the PNC Footprint. Some travel will be required.

PNC Retail Lending Strategy and Planning division is looking for a Data Engineer Lead who can contribute to the development of advance data solutions supporting PNC vision to be data driven digital first bank.

The Data Engineer Lead:

• Develops, supports, and implements data solutions for multiple applications in order to meet business objectives and user requirements.
• Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
• Leads data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability.
• Consults on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.

Qualifications:
-BA/BS in a STEM related area. Advanced degree is a plus.
-5+ years of related experience. Data modeling, data architecture, data management and good understanding of data science applications
-Working knowledge of Python, SQL and Spark. Understanding of Hadoop is a plus.
-Preferred experience in Digital Transformation programs and projects
-Prior experience working in banking or finance is a plus
-Internal or external consulting experience.
-Project Management experience with the ability to executive Agile projects.
-Ability to management stakeholder and communicate well at all levels.
-Passion for achievement and transformation change
-Ability to use knowledge graph and machine learning capabilities
-Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a fast-paced development environment
-Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Job Description

  • Manages the development, implementation and support of business analytics initiatives and projects. Leads a team of Business Analytics Consultants and may manage managers.
  • Identifying, sizing, planning and prioritizing opportunities for processes or performance management through analytics.
  • Assessing the scope and resources required of various analytics projects to define necessary resources.
  • Manage key performance metrics and communicate operational challenges.
  • Monitoring and communicating key performance metrics and operational challenges.

Work Experience


Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
