As a Data Engineer Sr. within PNC's DevOps organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

This position also offers the opportunity to work remotely from home.

The Test Data Management (TDM) role will be responsible for planning, discovery, design, development, and maintenance of test data using appropriate test data management tools and techniques. This role will develop test data management strategies and plans to provide right sized, production like, reusable and secured test data per test data requirements, as well as discover, generate, profile, transform, enrich, cleanse, extract, subset, mask, load, validate, refresh, reset, archive, purge test data and resolve defects of test data using Informatica Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), Test Data Management (TDM), automation tools and SQL scripts.

Implement the development of the test data management strategy and focus specifically on maximizing test data reuse, safety, initial state repeatability, profiling, catalog and versioning. In designing test data management strategy, they will have a thorough understanding of data governance which subsets data quality, information life cycle management (data modelling, data development and admin), metadata, master data management and data security. This role will implement the strategy via developing, coding and executing test data discovery, architecting, sub setting, masking, provisioning and maintenance solutions using automated test data architect, profiling, cleansing, validation, sub setting and privacy.

Extensive knowledge of databases, data warehouses, systems integrations, and data flows is preferred for this role. Additionally, candidates should be well-versed in data architecture, data development, test data management tools configuration and development, with a proven history of providing effective test data solutions. Extensive knowledge of business processes and related data flows and system integrations is also preferred for this position.

Technical Qualifications:
• At least 8 to 10 years hands experience in Informatica ETL tools
• Sound knowledge understanding the relational databases bases - Oracle ,Teradata, DB2 and SQL server
• Mainframe Data experience –VSAM and IMS file layouts
• Capability to develop complex SQL queries and ETL tool transformations logic
• Good understanding in writing regular expressions and database metadata definitions
• Writing automation shell scripts in add-on advantage
• Experience writing informatica workflows and guiding team members in project implementations
• Good understanding SDLC life cycle of Waterfall and Agile implementations
• Capable to prepare project estimations and release plans
• Good understanding HIPPA, PCI,PII and PHI compliance – sensitive data
• Hands on experience using Informatica power center and database client tools i.e. Toad and SQL developer
• Good understanding in relational database ,data warehouse architecture and Logical design and dataflow diagrams
• Solid experience in informatica workflow performance tuning and trouble shooting
• Ability to prepare project Design artifacts and code review check lists
• Coordinate and manage onsite ,offshore teams on project deliverable

  • Leads data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions.
  • Leads in designing and building data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms, according the workflow.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability.
  • Consults on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
