This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.

This position is part of the C&IB Architecture organization. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for creating architecture artifacts and roadmaps to assist with our development teams. In this role you will also be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing highly complex, specialized data warehouses, with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture, to support business users and Business Intelligence (BI) applications. Additionally, you will analyzes business intelligence data and makes recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration for the enterprise, as well as work on POC's for new tools and technologies. And finally, you will lead and consult on the implementation and integration of data warehouses, where you will ensure data is current and meets organizational quality and integrity standards.

Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking candidates who have a strong background in data architecture. Preferred candidates will have experience in many areas, up to and including ETL, Database Structures, RDBMS, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Kafka, Tableau, Hadoop, Data Lake and Python.

Job Description

  • Designs, develops and optimizes data warehouses, with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture, to support business users and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
  • Analyzes business intelligence data and makes recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration an application/business function.
  • Works with IT and business customers to capture requirements for designing the data warehouse architecture.
  • Provides support and technical guidance to ensure the solutions are aligned with the architecture and framework.
  • Leads and consults on the implementation and integration of data warehouses; ensures the solution meets organizational quality and integrity standards.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
