As a Data Manager within PNC's Staff Services Technology (SST) organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus. This position can be remote and sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, although it may not be available in all jurisdictions. In person activities may occur based on business need.

This Data Manager role supports the Staff Services team with a focus on product management to plan and execute delivery of target state integration between employee facing applications. Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to enterprise data quality standards, including identification and resolution of capture, transport and data use issues. The Data Manager serves as primary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives and communicates, influences and negotiates both vertically and horizontally with business and technical stakeholders to define how data is managed and sourced across multiple lines of business and within the Staff Services data infrastructure. He/she is accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. He/she creates a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control and integrates knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning processes. The Data Manager may also perform impact assessments and data analysis, lead data remediation efforts, and drive prioritization and reporting of data quality issues.

• Process design experience

Job Description

  • Manages all aspects of organizational data; establishes and maintains policies and procedures for planning, designing and maintaining an information bank to ensure that data services are delivered in a high-quality and profitable manner.
  • Provides senior leadership, direction and methodology for analysis, structure and storage of critical organizational data.
  • Oversees the integrity and maintenance of organizational data.
  • Monitors and reviews major organizational activities and goals to ensure important data needs are anticipated, and met.
  • Reviews and recommends policies and procedures for collecting and managing organization data.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
