The Delivery Services (DS) Business Strategy & Solutions Team at Guidewire provides internal back-office support for our employees and contractors around the globe. The Data Analyst role will work cross-functionally with a group of geographically disbursed team members to implement and maintain data quality initiatives on behalf of DS. The ideal candidate has previous Financial Data Analyst experience, and strong Excel and Salesforce/Analytics Reporting Experience. Deep experience with Tableau and/or Thoughtspot is a plus.
This role requires someone who can learn quickly, who is proactive and flexible, and who loves the satisfaction that comes from delivering results. This person must be organized, detail oriented, and thrive on juggling multiple priorities. He/She will have a proven ability to anticipate challenges, recommend options, and drive improvements that help ensure we can respond to the expanding needs for the DS Organization at Guidewire.
Essential job functions:
· Serve as a go-to-expert on Salesforce Reports; Tableau CRM (Formerly SFDC Einstein Analytics) and Thougtspot for Enterprise-Reporting needs
· Serve as go-to-expert on Services financial data maintained within Salesforce/FinancialForce including but not limited to billings; costs; utilization; forecasting and calculation of project margins.
· Develop and maintain reports for management to enable data-driven decisions
· Develop, implement, monitor and report monthly and quarterly key business metrics
· Perform ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements to the Business Strategy Teams and greater DS Organization.
· Clearly communicate findings with easy-to-understand data and reports.
· Support and maintain a cohesive reporting infrastructure within Salesforce/FinancialForce for the DS Organization
· Provide Data Modeling and Data Mining expertise
· Develop and Maintain Predictive Modeling in support of the DS Business
· Serve as a go-to-expert on Salesforce Reports; Tableau CRM (Formerly SFDC Einstein Analytics) and Thougtspot for Enterprise-Reporting needs
· Be able to independently manage small-scale projects related to the creation of new dashboards and reports.
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
· Master’s degree in data Analytics desired, with a minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience
· 2-3 Years Previous Data Analyst experience
· Advanced User Experience with Salesforce and/or FinancialForce, specifically with understanding the data/object architecture, and creating reports.
· Expert Excel skills; including proven use of advanced formulas
· Previous Experience with Tableau CRM, Thoughtspot or other enterprise-reporting tool, and understanding/use of creating custom formulas or data look-ups via Sequel, R, or other similar language.
· Previous Experience with Data Warehouse models
· Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills with an ability to explain and distill complex ideas in a simple and meaningful way
· Exemplary time management and organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively with a global team
· Comfortable with uncertainty and willingness to adjust priorities when needed
· A good sense of humor and one who does not take themselves too seriously
· A willingness to learn and explore new systems without fear
