Are you ready for a new challenge? If so, we would love to see your background! Guidewire is searching for a unique and driven product and business leader to redefine how predictive models are developed, deployed, and monitored across the $2 trillion dollar P&C industry.
Your work will set the bar for injecting data science into the workflow of 10,000s of underwriters, claims adjusters, and insurance professionals. You will establish the vision for a product that provides high impact, cutting edge predictive analytics solutions for data science teams at the world’s largest insurers and at smaller specialist insurers that use our offerings to operationalize their analytics.
We are looking for someone to lead a team of insurance domain experts and advise the work of driven software engineers, data scientists, and industry domain specialists to build and lead our Predictive Analytics product as the crown jewel atop the Guidewire Cloud Platform that is the cloud version of the most influential insurance platform in existence. As the face of the product, you will build a vision that enables every P&C insurer to up their game with analytics, distill AI/ML concepts into concise value propositions, deploy models painlessly, and exponentially expand the prevalence of model-driven decision making.

Who You Are
You have validated expertise in crafting rapid growth enterprise AI/ML products in Insurtech or FinTech. You have both product and people management experience, and you lead by example. You are an unrivaled evangelist and exceptional communicator, tame ambiguity for breakfast and you are a doer. You ship products. You think strategically, move quickly, and deeply understand the market. This role is a leader to engineering, a secret weapon to sales, and an indispensable resource to marketing. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Foster a bold roadmap for the leading predictive analytics & AI/ML sandbox product in the P&C insurance industry
    • Lead a team of product managers and insurance domain experts to establish Guidewire as the industry leader in predictive analytics
    • Build must-have new features like scenario modeling, business impact monitoring, and pricing optimization tools
    • Leverage the Guidewire Data Platform to power both Guidewire and third-party analytic solutions
    • Guide our large team of engineers and data scientists to build on-time, on-spec, and with high quality
    • Build cross team trust via transparency, communication, and teamwork and support the sales process

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10+ years’ consistent track record in building predictive analytics or actuarial products
    • Expertise in B2B SaaS products in InsurTech or FinTech
    • Strong expertise in managing technical teams focused on technical domains
    • Compelling vision and superb communication coupled with strong business acumen and detail orientation
    • Deep understanding of large enterprises’ issues
    • and adoption of predictive analytics & AI/ML
    • Experience with AWS ecosystem including Sagemaker and Quicksight.
