This role is a perfect opportunity for an intellectually curious and results-oriented person looking to lead a strategically critical capability at Guidewire related to large-scale data ingestion and modeling that supercharges insurers’ underwriting, customer acquisition, and claims management abilities.
As Director of Product Management at Guidewire, you will relentlessly align key partners towards a “true north” product vision. You are able to align disparate viewpoints. You are the marketing counterpart of the engineering team. You don’t shy away from difficult conversations.
You will work closely with a highly skilled and diverse team, including specialists in a variety of fields – insurance professionals, data scientists, and risk modelers. This is a leadership role that requires an enthusiastic, results-oriented individual to encourage cross-functional teams and lead ground-breaking change.

Responsibilities:

    • Define the product strategy and execution plan for Guidewire’s data listening products that enhance underwriting workflows, improve predictive models, and enhance customer acquisition efforts.
    • Lead the complete product lifecycle including planning, development, release, and GTM.
    • Drive business, financial and operations planning required to ensure the risk analytics products meet market and revenue growth expectations
    • Deeply understand the needs of our customers and the market
    • Act as a product owner in an agile development environment
    • Serve as a product evangelist and subject-matter guide to both internal and externa partners, including the Guidewire management team, customers and prospects, as well as industry analysts and solution partners
    • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to ensure strategic alignment across the organization

Required Skills:

    • Ability to lead, sell, and evangelize a high visibility product line.
    • Product management leadership experience at an insurance or commercial enterprise software company
    • Strong eye for business and ability to both plan and drive the achievement of revenue targets across the product portfolio
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to make sophisticated concepts simple and understandable, and present clearly and persuasively to customers, partners, colleagues and senior executives
    • Strong people leadership skills with shown success in motivating and mentoring
    • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
    • Good analytic insight, diligence, and a positive demeanor

Preferred:

    • B.S./M.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or relevant applied-data field
    • Experience working with distributed teams
    • Experience with Risk Analytics in a product/application space at an Enterprise level
