Summary

Anaconda is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Leader  to  join our rapidly-growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science and machine learning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Apply data science to our offerings and data about the data science community 
  • Own innovation initiatives focused on key data science deliverables. Drive innovation and research working effectively with cross functional teams and drive data science thought leadership in research initiatives
  • Identify and monitor and research new ways of using data to solve business problems
  • Develop new analytic innovations and be able to present them to stakeholders in a compelling way, demonstrating value and differentiation, and drive the impact of our products and services
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all things data science, bring expertise to our users offering more visibility to the analytic innovations and process behind innovation, including speaking engagements, collateral development, and presentations
  • Be a trusted advisor on use of data science technologies and listen to stakeholders’ challenges to drive Anaconda’s innovation forward
  • Track the fields of data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and deep learning—staying abreast of current trends and making recommendations how these advancements might be leveraged within Anaconda. 
  • Manage data projects, ensuring stakeholder engagement, status updates, and issue escalation
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure the required instrumentation is built into our products and services
  • Support the management of incoming demand, assign work to team, and facilitate further scoping and coordination as needed
  • Coordinate with Learning and Development on the creation of Insights & Data-Driven Culture, Data Literacy content and campaigns
  • Partner with technology to build the data infrastructure required to support our goals
  • Drive data driven decisions to positively impact our ability to achieve our business objectives
  • Build impactful business intelligence dashboards, tools, and apps providing insights from our data.
  • Be a proactive partner within the product organization improving the customer experience with data that helps to prioritize work drives faster iteration and  experimentation
  • Support the design, development, and iterative improvements of weekly reports and monthly business reviews
  • Lead a team of data scientists and business analysts that you partner with to achieve these outcomes

What You Need:

  • Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Team leadership and people management experience
  • Technical hands-on experience will include employing machine learning, mathematical/statistical modeling,  pattern recognition, or data mining on real world problems and knowledge of python for analytic innovations integration into production software
  • Familiar with Anaconda Distribution and the pydata ecosystem
  • Prior experience (partnering with internal cross functional teams like product management, marketing, sales) driving high quality/on-time analytic development programs and driving analytic innovation into business processes and offerings.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with examples of published work and conference presentations
  • Experience in open source and data science advocacy
