Summary

Anaconda is seeking a talented Senior Business Analyst to join our rapidly-growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science and machine learning.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Understand data, data sources, and limitations
  • Ensure data integrity and quality
  • Initiate data projects on data stored in Snowflake data warehouse
  • Maintain analytics queries and reports, as well as respond to ad-hoc requests, for multiple departments
  • Support communication processes among engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders
  • Work across teams to develop internal and external data reporting standards
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to improve data collection processes
  • Monitor and analyze changes to our online platforms and product suite that impact registrations, engagement, and conversion rates
  • Identify and address operational, financial and technological risks within the business
  • Identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities
  • Identify innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction
  • Creating monthly performance reports
  • Communicating ideas and viewpoints to senior management
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our business and product
  • Develop and maintain documentation on data



What You Need:

  • MBA, MA/MS, or BS in statistics, data science, or technical field
  • 5+ years work experience
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel
  • Proficiency in at least one analytics/visualization platform
  • Familiar with data warehousing
  • Able to translate business requirements to data queries and reports
  • Experience developing and maintaining reports ready for use by data scientists
  • Experience developing dashboards for senior managers and leaders that measure key performance indicators and provide actionable insights  
  • Proficient in business productivity tools (Word, G Suite)
  • Learning-oriented
  • Attentive to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Skilled in communication, negotiation, and relationship building

 

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working in a open source or data science-oriented company
  • Experience being part of the development of PaaS and/or SaaS products
  • Familiarity with Python; proficiency in Python and/or R a plus
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and/or Metabase a plus
  • Previous start-up experience a plus
