About the Role:
As part of Indigo’s Finance Organization, the Business Intelligence and Analytics team strives to be a trusted partner throughout the decision making process by making the right information available at the right time. The BI and Analytics team is a diverse and tenured group of analysts with a unique vantage point that bridges all of Indigo’s products, programs, and core functions. We are looking for a curious self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic environment and have an immediate impact.
In this role as a Business Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for owning and delivering insights and analytics products to enable actionable change that drive business outcomes and support Indigo’s core functions like people, commercial, customer, and procurement operations. A typical day in the life on our team consists of working closely with both upstream and downstream business partners to translate business needs into clear questions, supporting the sourcing of data, and turning those data into analytical products. The expectation is for this role to be an individual contributor position with no managerial responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business outcomes through actionable analytics and insights by breaking down business goals into technical requirements
- Define metrics that facilitate data driven decision making through partnerships with key business stakeholders such as executive leadership, product, commercial and customer operations
- Execute projects end-to-end; validate problem statements, provide high-level solutions, and manage the project development
- Collaborate with our Data Governance and Analytics Engineering teams to enhance processes and patterns for the creation of data products
- Evangelize data-driven decisions and influence best practices for BI product development at Indigo
Competencies:
- Self-starter with a curiosity mindset to solve new and interesting business problems
- Ability to articulate a cohesive story through data and visualization
- Manage the delivery of scalable and sustainable analytics solutions in a modern and agile tech stack
- Ability to work with all levels of stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on designs in response to feedback
- Mentorship of junior members of the team, including both removing technical roadblocks and assisting with design
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
- Strong sense of quality and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant data management or analytical experience
- Highly proficient in writing and troubleshooting SQL
- Experience developing in Looker or similar platforms such as Tableau, Spotfire, Mode, etc.
- Experience with version control software such as GitHub
- Comfortable working with and navigating complex schemas
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Cloud data warehouse experience
Nice To Haves:
- Familiarity with cloud databases like Snowflake
- Start-up experience
- Proficient in Python
- Salesforce experience
- Oracle Fusion Apps experience
