The Data Intelligence team at Indigo captures, integrates, and visualizes complex scientific datasets to enable R&D and product development at Indigo.  We are looking for a Data Analyst with experience in handling, integrating and visualizing complex data sets.  The candidate should be very detailed oriented, with a strong desire to help building qualitative datasets and visualizations to enable other teams analysis and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with and strong interest in scientific data and empathy for customers working in research and development functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal teams (Data Intelligence, Data Science, Project Management, Automation and Software Engineering) to understand the structure of Indigo's databases and data needs
  • Become familiar with and contribute to our data infrastructure and processes
  • Collaborate with researchers and data scientists to ensure understanding data and data needs
  • Work closely within the group to database quality, integrity, and consistency. Help solve data issues.
  • Execute pipeline analyses and load data in databases
  • Build new data visualizations to help the researchers and the business
  • Review and update current documentation of visualization tools and databases
  • Assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning
  • Provide assistance to others in topics related to data management and data visualization

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of experience or Master’s degree + 1 year of experience in Analyst role / computer science or related field
  • Highly proficient with SQL
  • Experience with scientific/BI visualization tools (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, Looker, etc)
  • Experience handling or cleaning data

Nice to have:

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Proficient with Python
  • Experience designing, building and managing normalized relational databases
