Job Purpose and Overview

In the role of Business Intelligence Manager, you will report to the Vice President of Business Systems and be responsible for leading a team of architects and developers to ensure our data warehouse meets the evolving analytical and reporting needs of our internal stakeholders. Our data warehouse is a mission critical resource to the company, which means you and this team will provide high value and have high visibility to our executive leadership team and other members of management.

What You'll Accomplish:

    • Partner with our Growth Analysis team, internal stakeholders, and data warehouse architect to create and maintain the team's roadmap, groom its backlog, and establish product requirements.
    • Ensure incoming support tickets are triaged and resolved per published SLAs.
    • Establish product priorities, plan and schedule weekly sprints, and track progress of existing initiatives to ensure corporate goals are achieved and projects are completed within the required timeframe.
    • Provide tactical and strategic guidance to the team responsible for the design, roll-out, and uptime of our data warehouse systems, including assigning work, managing performance, and supporting them in their duties.
    • Drive complex problems through to solutions. leveraging technical guidance from the Data Warehouse Architect.
    • Coach and develop direct reports and support them in the development of their skills.
    • Meet regularly with direct reports to review project, performance, and personnel issues.
    • Participate in recruiting and selection of new team members, and manage their onboarding.
    • Ensure the data warehouse team deeply understands our stakeholders' needs and can anticipate their needs.
    • Maintain quality and consistency of service delivery by ensuring all procedures and best practices are documented in the BizSys knowledge base, the team is trained on them, and those procedures and best practices are being followed.
    • Offer feedback, suggestions, and recommendations to the VP of Business Systems and Processes about the team members as well as the team’s strategies, procedures and policies.
    • Review and validate team members' work to ensure it is of high quality and to identify if additional training is needed.

About You:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
    • Knowledge of data warehousing, data architecture, ETL, analytics, and Business Intelligence.
    • Minimum: 5+ years of overall business intelligence/data warehouse experience.
    • Minimum: 5+ years' current experience managing teams of 3 or more developers.
    • Minimum: 3+ years experience managing multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously, ideally within an Agile Scrum framework and using a variety of project management tools.
    • Prior experience developing product roadmaps.
    • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together.
    • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
