Job Description

The Data Analyst - Business Analytics, will be a key contributor working with the Sr. Manager of Finance & Analytics. This role operates as a hybrid of traditional jobs across business analytics, financial reporting, and go-to-market strategy. The Data Analyst will develop objective forecasting models, perform meaningful data analysis and report on critical metrics. The ideal candidate will have outstanding analytical abilities, deliver key insights and make recommendations that translate to growth in the business.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Support the short and long-term financial planning process, challenge assumptions and ensure business drivers are clearly understood and highlighted.

  • Develop objective data driven forecast models over demand generation, sales and renewals. Use these models to drive performance and identify forward-looking risks and opportunities.

  • Provide in-depth analysis and insight for a wide range of initiatives including, but not limited to: go-to-market strategy, business model, product pricing, customer segmentation, product adoption, and resource allocation.

  • Proactively partner with leadership and across the business to develop and support strategic initiatives and improve actual business results.

  • Develop data models and reports that give insight to KPIs and key initiatives, uncover trends, hotspots and assess the health of the business.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and modeling to support executive decision making.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field is required.

  • 2+ years of experience in an Analyst role.

  • Advanced Excel / Google sheets modeling capabilities. SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or experience using other BI tools.

  • Well-versed in the creation of robust, scalable, and flexible data models; takes a creative approach to this process, with an emphasis on easy maintenance and data reliability.

  • Knowledge of a CRM software and Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Business-minded, familiarity with sales strategy, forecasting, and business planning; familiarity with subscription software business models a plus (SaaS).

  • Curious and creative problem solver, analytically minded, flexible, independent, forward-thinking with a willingness to engage in all aspects of the business. 

  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills while having the ability to work effectively with executives and multiple functional areas in a collaborative, team environment.
