Job Description:
Do you enjoy working in a position that is tied directly to company growth initiatives? Caterpillar’s Construction Industries is hiring a Data Analyst for Global Parts and Services within Engine and Drive Train Rebuilds.
In this role, you will perform work order analysis for our global dealer network. You’ll also serve as a divisional expert responsible for the development and execution of specialized initiatives to drive profitable parts and service revenue and growth. Remote work is available!
What You’ll Do (Essential Functions)

Conduct Work Order Analysis for Engines and Drive Train

Analyze data included but not limited to parts, labor and cost for engine and drive train, compile data and make recommendations to internal teams and external dealers

Work across various functional business units to achieve parts objectives and global partners along with districts, dealers and customers to implement parts marketing activities and drive parts growth

Gather and provide voice of customer (VOC) and voice of dealer (VOD) to the engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, pricing and logistics teams

Support POPS growth through development of products and programs

Deliver new products and programs globally or regionally

Develop, coordinate and present training materials

Partner with industry groups to align strategies

Mentor team members within work group
How You’ll be Successful (Basic Qualifications)
-
5+ years of combined experience within drive trains or engines and data analysis related to those components
-
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of work related experience
-
Ability to travel 20-25% of the time to dealer sites
Additional Skills for Success (Desired Qualifications)
-
Highly proficient in data analysis
-
SQL and/or Snowflake experience in professional capacity
-
Experience analyzing dealer work order data would be beneficial
-
Technical knowledge of machine systems and repair options would be beneficial

Ability to deal with sensitive issues and/or persuade others on new methods of equipment application, new technology and distribution methods

Self-starter and team player
-
Strong communication, presentation and training skills

Accomplished in the use of business tools for communicating ideas

Strong project management skills; previous 6 sigma black belt experience
-
Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders

This position is ideally located in Peoria, IL but can work from Chicago, IL; Raleigh, NC; Dallas, TX or be fully remote.
