We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Americas Distribution, Service & Marketing (ADSM) division.

As the Sr. Digital Marketing Analytics Data Analyst at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for the development of enterprise level digital marketing data analytics strategies and on-going benchmarking including visualization and reporting.  You will work with enterprise digital strategists, business units, and industry groups to translate business questions into analytical projects that will inform strategic and tactical business decisions.  In essence, your ability to combine your analytics analysis with storytelling will influence marketing strategies and recommendations across the entire Caterpillar enterprise.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Consulting with global internal business partners and developing an enterprise approach to KPIs and benchmarking

  • Utilize your in-depth reporting and analytics data experience to unlock actionable insights of marketing performance across multiple programs, strategies, and datasets

  • Work collaboratively with digital partners to define reporting requirements, develop metrics models, and recommendations 

  • Develop reports and dashboards with insights that drive positive change 

  • Lead efforts to research and evaluate new tools/capabilities in the analytics industry 

  • Identify gaps in digital platform data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements

  • Examine existing systems and processes to generate recommendations/ methodologies to improve data and its usage

  • Research global markets and industry trends

  • Develop and deliver analytics presentations to key stakeholders

  • Keep up to date on current digital analytics trends and best practices through continuing education, seminars, subscriptions, and self-study.  Apply and share these strategies and updates with cross-functional teams and workgroups

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher; preferably in Marketing, Data Science, or Business

  • 4+ years of related hands-on experience in digital marketing analytics

  • Well-versed with dashboarding/BI/data visualization tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc.)

  • 4+ years of experience with analytics solutions like Google Analytics (4 a plus), Adobe Analytics (formerly Omniture SiteCatalyst), Tag Management tools, and Excel

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of working time

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Experience with user audiences/segments/personas. Using various data sources, analyze on-site user behavior to identify distinct or high value user personas and segments

  • Understanding of key analytics attribution methodologies and approaches (first touch, last touch, linear, and/or starter-player-closer attribution models)

  • Ability to not just measure and analyze but to provide strategic insights for enterprise change

  • Experience with CDPs, SQL, Java Script, HTML, Big Query


Additional Information:

  • This position can be located anywhere in the US as a remote position

Compensation & Benefits:

Base salary for this role ranges from $ 118,632 to $ 177,948. Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:
