Job Summary:

The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for influencing Allstate Business Insurance strategy through data and analytics. The position is also responsible for anticipating changes, leading innovative data and analytics solutions to drive business results, as well as coaching and developing a team of managers and/or professionals. The manager is also a key driver in identifying and implementing process improvements to lead to increased efficiency, quality and effective budget allocation

Key Responsibilities:

•    Define the Allstate Business Insurance multi-year data strategy to enable key stakeholders to have the right data to conduct analysis, inform key strategic decisions and clearly and effectively monitor results
•    Partner with business teams on multi-track projects and/or programs to support high quality deliverables, performance expectations, risk mitigation, and process development
•    Collaborate with key partners across the commercial insurance business teams and technology organization to understand key analytic and reporting needs to collectively align on the technical capabilities needed to meet overall needs of the business.
•    Partner with technology to ensure that all commercial data solutions are compliance with enterprise’s target state architecture
•    Serve as liaison with internal and external partners – as well as technology partners - for Allstate Business Insurance's critical strategic work, identifying and driving resolution to issues impacting product or project quality, timely implementation of initiatives and/or quality of initiatives 
•    Oversee team of employees, utilizing data analytics expertise to coach and develop a team of managers and/or professionals on the Data & Analytics Team
•    Serve as a data subject matter expert across the business insurance organization, maintaining a prioritize backlog of data needs for key transformational strategic programs 
•    Improve data governance and quality increases the reliability of our commercial and enterprise data
•    Develop and deliver communications for complex technical projects to non-technical audiences (appropriate audience, vehicle, level of detail, urgency) and engages appropriate parties in discussion to drive issue resolution and decision making  

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does have supervisory duties.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics, Finance, Business, Economics, IT or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7 years of data and analytics experience
• 5 years of insurance experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• None

Functional Skills:

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in different programming languages, including but not limited to SQL and R
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• General insurance knowledge, commercial experience preferred 
• Strong leadership skills

Compensation offered for this role is $115,000 - $155,000  and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
