Analytica is seeking a  Data Engineer  to support a dynamic federal government enterprise big-data program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable as a key member of a multi-disciplinary team working in an Agile environment to produce big data analytics solutions in support of business users within a regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Transfer data between environments such as external file transfer, internal databases and file systems.
  • Develop & analyze business requirements for implementing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) techniques and data processing.
  • Work with data architects, business users and business managers to identify and develop data processing procedures, metrics, and standards.
  • Assemble data storage and processing infrastructure that allows working nimbly through extensive amounts of analytics data. o Design and build robust and scalable solutions for managing structured and unstructured data using traditional databases (PostgreSQL, etc.), Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) databases (Redshift) and NoSQL (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) tools.
  • Tool development to support a team of Data Architects, Data Analysts and Data Scientists.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience of data engineering, developing applications using python or similar tools, and loading data into PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server Experience with data intake processes, database technologies, and other data services technologies in AWS space.
  • Experience managing code in Github. Preferred Experience: -
  • Experience working with orchestration tools such as GoCD -
  • Experience deploying applications in Ansible, using Mesos containers, and managing Citus Infrastructure.
