About the Role

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team! You will work very closely as a bridge between engineering, infrastructure, & operations. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems and support data analysts. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. 

To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineering skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of ML methods. What You'll Do...

• Identify data needs for business and product teams, understand their specific requirements for metrics and analysis, and build efficient and scalable data pipelines to enable data-driven decision making
• Design, develop, and own data pipelines and models that power internal analytics for product and business teams
• Develop and maintain the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies
• Optimize and maintain scripts on present data warehouses and present ETL
• Create data tools for analytics and data analysis team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product
• Continue to improve the performance and reliability of our data warehouse
• Orchestrate sophisticated data flow patterns across a variety of disparate tooling.
• Build and enforce a pattern language across our data stack, ensuring that our event taxonomy and tables are consistent, accurate, and well-understood

What You Bring...

• 3+ years of professional experience designing, creating and maintaining scalable data pipelines
• You can write clear, correct code, preferably in Python, and are willing to become effective in others as needed to get your job done
• Advanced SQL skills with the understanding of how to write and tune complex queries
• Experience with MPP Data Warehouses, Postgres, and AWS Infrastructure
• Experience with transforming, developing data structures, metadata, dependency and data workflows to support an Analytics function
• Expertise in gathering data through multiple sources through API calls and scripting languages
