About the Role
Dutchie is seeking a Director of Data Platforms to grow and lead our Data Engineering organization and platform. You will be key in defining the data strategy, enabling all teams easy access to valuable data. You will partner with key stakeholders across dutchie to ensure we build a platform that is capable of everything from ad-hoc analysis all the way to training complex machine learning models. You will help dutchie build out a culture of using data to enrich our products.
What You’ll Do…
- Define the vision for the data platform at dutchie - You will ensure we have a platform that enables all of dutchie to utilize data to make key decisions
- Lead, manage and grow the Data Engineering organization - We're growing rapidly and we'll need a world-class Data Engineering team
- Build a strategy around using machine learning and data science across engineering
- Own a strategy to ensure data quality at every step
What You Bring…
- 8+ years working in Data Engineering leading teams. You should have defined a data strategy and roadmap for an organization
- Experience building a team. You should have built out a hiring and capacity plan
- Experience with the latest machine learning and data analysis technologies
- Experience ensuring a data warehouse meet compliance regulations, such as CCPA
- Experience with AWS data platform and machine learning offerings

- Experience within an eCommerce data org
- Experience with Snowflake
