Job Description:
Phreesia is looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team!
In this role, you will be a key contributor in Phreesia’s ongoing transition to modern data platforms and services. Collaboration and clear communication with multiple teams at Phreesia will be critical to the success of this new product environment. The primary duties of this role include development of data pipelines in on-prem, cloud, and hybrid architectures.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Engineers and Architects to implement and maintain a streaming data platform
- Develop data lake pipelines and services to support analytic products
- Develop APIs and other data interfaces to deliver our data products to core product teams
- Document new designs and specifications for our data products
- Follow existing source control procedures and help establish new patterns and processes
- Support and contribute to DevOps and CI/CD processes
What You’ll Need
- BS or higher in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 7 years' hands-on experience in developing enterprise-grade solutions, with at least 2 years in a PAAS environment (preferably AWS), using services such as: AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon S3, DynamoDB/ any NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), AWS Glue and Glue Data Catalog
- Significant experience connecting software systems to databases and cloud systems
- 2+ years implementing pipelines using a streaming platform (Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka)
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar language used for data engineering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling principles
- Experience working on SaaS product delivery teams, within a highly regulated environment (healthcare, finance)
- Industry Certification in AWS is a plus.
