Sapphire Digital, now a part of Zelis, is seeking a dynamic and driven Data Product Manager to join our Data and Analytics team. As Data Product Manager, you will manage the data product road map, oversee the product lifecycle of our data offerings, and make data-driven recommendations for new products and feature optimizations. Together with other senior leaders on Sapphire’s Data and Product teams, you’ll be responsible for defining a vision and strategy for how our Data Platform evolves to support the current and future needs of the business. 

We are looking for someone passionate about data management, analytics, and analytics engineering with strong product management experience to lead our data investments across the business.

Essential Duties & Functions:

  • Manage the data product road map, oversee the data product lifecycle, and execute on data strategy

  • Develop new product ideas and data capabilities that increase business value, adoption, and user engagement.

  • Understand market needs for using data and analytics and advocate inside and outside the organization

  • Provide data product subject matter expertise in support of go-to-market strategies and product launches

  • Analyze data product features and performance to deliver data-driven insights to senior leadership and customers

  • Define key performance indicators and ROI models to evaluate product value and provide the methodologies to accurately measure the product’s performance and usage

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and managers to align on data product strategy and technical feasibility

  • Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including engineering, product, marketing, partnerships, and customer success

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience owning data product roadmaps and overseeing product lifecycles end-to-end

  • 5+ years of engineering, product management, program management, or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to bring people together to build data solutions

  • Technical depth that enables you to collaborate with data engineers and data scientists and drive technical discussions about design of data models, ETLs, deployment of data infrastructure

  • An ability to listen to diverse audiences, identify requirements, gaps, and barriers, and translate needs into product features

  • Track record of delivering across multiple phases of development for complex projects, from ideation to deployment

  • Possess strong communication skills, with clear verbal communication as well as explicit and mindful written communication skills

  • Strive to empower others and build an inclusive team while driving the team toward a common goal

  • Strong understanding of other data/product tools such as Jira, Python, R, Spark, Power BI and/or Tableau

  • Well-versed in Advanced Analytics, AI, Data Science, ML, NLP, and Product Analytics concepts
