Data QA Engineer, Pipeline
As a Data QA Engineer you will be an important part of a team building innovative solutions that empower our internal financial and investment teams as well as our network of investors. The solutions this team develops will literally change the industry. As part of Techstars’ data engineering organization you will ensure the quality and reliability of data and solutions delivered by your team. You will deliver automated integration testing to ensure that every part of the Techstars data platform is functioning as designed.

What you will do:
- Test data and solutions against business requirements to assure alignment between businesses needs, the written requirements and the solution delivered.
- Write, revise and execute test plans that will efficiently test the quality of our data
- Proactively assess risks and help to find issues as early as possible
- Write automated integration tests using Python or Node. You will write code to break code.
- Manage multiple project tasks simultaneously
- Create new and maintain existing documentation for testing the team’s solutions
- Help to improve our development processes by building in automated integration and regression test suites.
What you bring:
- A passion for data
- Experience working with and testing distributed systems
- QA experience with ETL, streaming, data pipelines, cleansing and mastery
- Diverse experience with languages (ie. SQL, Python, Node, Scala)
- Experience working with a variety of relational and non-relational database systems (ie Postgres, MongoDB, Redis)
- Experience with cloud based data visualization technologies (ie. Looker, Domo, Airtable)
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, a desire to learn and teach
Nice to have:
- Experience in financial/investment data
- Experience developing with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
Compensation range: $85,000 - $130,000 + 10% Bonus
