The Data Quality Analyst is a member of an Agile team focused on rapidly delivering high-
value data and database solutions that help people get the healthcare they need at a price
they can afford. This includes developing procedures to enhance the accuracy and integrity
of our data products resulting in highly reliable information for our company and partners.
Additionally, this role is responsible for performing data analysis, collaborating with database
developers to enhance data collection and storage procedures, preparing data analysis
reports, and troubleshooting data issues. The ideal candidate needs a very fine eye for detail,
experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and
databases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performing statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity
    • Provide quality assurance of internal and imported data
    • Developing reports and analyses
    • Presenting data analysis findings to inform business decisions and prioritize information
    • system needs
    • Collaborating with database developers to improve data collection and storage processes
    • Evaluating system performance and design, as well as its effect on data quality
    • Running queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleaning data
    • Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends
    • Identifying and revising reporting requirements
    • Supporting data integrity initiatives
    • Testing and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems
    • Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports
    • Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems
    • Training end-users on new reports and dashboards
    • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines
    • Documenting processes and maintaining data records
    • Adhering to best practices in data analysis and collection
    • Keeping abreast of developments and trends in data quality analysis

Required Qualifications

    • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis.
    • Proficiency SQL, data analytics tools and dashboard tools
    • Experience with SQL Server
    • Familiarity with Redshift
    • Familiarity with AWS tools
    • Experience applying statistical methods and tests.
    • Experience in working with large data sets, relational databases, and non-relational
    • (NoSQL) databases.
    • Extensive experience with statistical packages, such as MS Excel, SAS, and SPSS
    • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
    • Exceptional analytical skills.
    • Advanced problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of best practices in data analysis.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in an Agile Scrum and Kanban team environment
    • Working knowledge of data privacy practices and laws
    • Proficient with Atlassian Jira or other issue/change management platforms and tools
    • Proficient with Atlassian Confluence or other collaboration tools

Required Education

    • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar.
    • Preferred Education: Agile certifications, MSSQL Server certifications or other relevant certifications
