The Data Quality team oversees the quality of Lightcast’s core product – real-time labor marketdata. Ongoing quantitative measurement and communication of data quality as well as finding new ways of improving the overall data quality are at the heart of the team's work. Our team creates reports that monitor our ongoing data input and output, investigates outliers, determines remediation plans for quality issues, creates change reports, determines focus areas for improvement based on market needs, and closely works withnumerous internal and external stakeholders to design and implement new processes that improve our overall data quality.

High data quality is vital for the success of our customers as well as for driving new business. It is a joint effort that requires working hand in hand with all the other teams at Lightcast

Major Responsibilities:

    • Perform root cause analysis of data issues reported by clients.
    • Communicate results and proposed solutions to stakeholders and clients.
    • Work together with other teams including product, engineering, customer success, and sales on issue resolution.
    • Monitor ongoing data quality using analytics tools.
    • Create processes and tools to analyze data and perform impact analysis using SQL, Excel, Python, business analytics tools such as PowerBI, and customer insights tools such as Pendo

Skills & Abilities:

    • Experience in data analysis, manipulating data sets, and querying databases
    • Ability to perform systematic analysis of a problem
    • Highly professional, organized, and with an inquisitive mind
    • Ability to work independently and anticipate requests
    • Educated to degree level, with an analytics background
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel
    • Knowledge of Python for data analysis
    • Ideally experience with business analytics tools
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Education & Experience:

    • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent work experience.
