Quick Summary:  The Director of Data Analytics & Product will initially restructure and model existing datasets to better fit the commercial real estate and financial market industry’s use cases. This product leader will also be responsible for researching, strategizing and designing the development of a purpose-built SaaS product following the data restructuring and modeling work. Further data and product feature advancements and enhancements will be the longer-term focus following these two initial projects.The product leader will work directly within a small and tactical team comprising the market team leader, sellers, account managers, and marketers. The product leader will grow a team of their own for this market over time but initially direct efforts of individuals on our central data and engineering teams to carry out the actual work in restructuring and modeling the existing data as well as the development of a new SaaS platform. 

Major Responsibilities

    • Develop or adopt an R&D process to test and validate data models.
    • Engage business and product stakeholders to understand their roadmap, strategize and develop hypotheses, and design models to solve customer problems. 
    • Define, prioritize, and clarify requirements; work with others to understand use cases, features, business and technical rules and define overall data and product goals.
    • Identify ways to assist in product planning through user story development and analysis.
    • Propose new product features and updates.
    • Create communication and engagement strategies in conjunction with commercial teams to support growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional peers to solve complex problems.
    • Work closely with marketing to best position the offering to the market.

Successful Candidate

    • Experienced product and data analytics leader who can understand customers' perspectives, is well versed in product fundamentals, has a bias toward data-driven action, can break down complex problems into steps that drive product roadmaps, lead product teams, develop strong partnerships with technology teams, and drive cross-functional collaboration on a day-to-day basis.
    •  A strong track record of successfully building SaaS products is strongly desired and familiarity or past work experience within the commercial real estate and/or financial markets industry will be viewed as a significant added value.

    • A passion for creating customer value through innovative technology solutions.
    • The ability to identify industry, business, and technology trends and best practices.
    • The ability to break down complex problems and design elegant solutions with a focus on usability and data-driven decision-making.
    • The ability to collaborate within cross functional teams and build strong relationships across many functional areas within the organization.
    • Familiarity with leading cloud Design, Prototyping, Project, Program Management and Development lifecycle tools such as Figma, Jira, the Atlassian Suite, Miro and Trello.
    • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to connect, resonate, and establish credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to effectively set and maintain priorities.
    • A results-driven, data-driven approach and who is both entrepreneurial and action-oriented.
    • The ability to be in Moscow, ID and Boston, MA on a regular basis.

Education and Experience

    • 3+ years of product or data analytics experience and collaboration across functions and organizations, ideally with previous director-level or senior product responsibilities.
