As a Data Scientist on our Customer Analytics team you will leverage your knowledge ofadvanced analytics of customer data, as well as your experience writing scalable code to enhance our understanding of Indigo clientele. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, and other Data Scientists and Engineers, you will help the team apply cutting edge statistical methods to complex problems and large datasets, ultimately owning your own production models. This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role on a close-knit team that is dedicated to solving complex and meaningful problems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build a deep understanding of existing systems and data assets; contribute to 
  • components of in-flight analyses and models
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their pain-points, identify and 
  • resolve ambiguities, and address those pain-points using data-driven solutions, as 
  • appropriate
  • Take ownership of discrete analyses, delivering on challenging deadlines
  • Independently plan and execute modifications and improvements to existing 
  • customer analytics predictive models, leading to measurable improvements in 
  • results
  • Collaborate with Engineering on scaling/productionizing your work
  • Serve as an ambassador for the customer-centric data products and insights 
  • being produced by the Customer Analytics group

  • Strong coding skills, able to contribute to team codebase; write well-documented,

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years relevant experience working in industry
  • Masters or PhD degree with a quantitative focus preferred
  • Fluent in Python (R also a plus)
  • Experience with git or a similar version control software
  • Fluent in PostgreSQL
  • Practical experience building predictive models
  • Familiarity with CRM systems preferred
  • Experience working in AWS  environment preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile software and/or product development 
  • environment preferred
  • Familiarity with geospatial data preferred
