What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions

  • Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments

  • Code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse and evaluate large datasets from multiple sources 

  • Identify important insights from large data sources; interpret and communicate insights and findings to product, service, and business managers

  • Support projects with hands-on analysis and modeling, using analytical methods to choose the right tool and level of complexity for the task 

  • Articulate business questions and use mathematical techniques to arrive at an answer using data

  • Translate analysis results into business recommendations

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience (e.g., as a data scientist) or equivalent. Analytical engagements outside class work while at school can be included

  • Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and database languages (e.g., SQL)

  • Experience building, cleaning, and testing data quality for data sets preceding modeling 

  • Understanding of modeling and statistical approaches (e.g. logistic regression, linear regression, random forests, etc.)

  • Problem-solving, project management, customer service, and communication skills

What would make you stand out:

  • Masters or PhD in a related field

  • Experience with Dataiku

  • Experience in Agile methodologies

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $82,500.00 - $110,000.00
