PagerDuty is seeking a Director of Data Science & Business Value to join our diverse, customer-focused team! As a Director of Data Science & Business Value you will be reporting into the VP of Customer Services and Value and working with a cross functional team to tell a story with data and drive value for PagerDuty and our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to be a trusted advisor to the customer success leadership team and help our customers understand how PagerDuty can help transform their businesses. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to derive actionable insights from large amounts of information whilst clearly communicating complex ideas to senior executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engaging strategically with customer executives, alongside the Sales and Success teams, to understand market driven trends and related opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales, service delivery, and success organizations to determine the customer needs and competitive landscape to create an effective Services Strategy for prospective and existing customers.
  • Work closely with the Success Operations Team to identify additional reporting/tracking parameters for the Success Organization and develop strategies to enhance the business with the leadership team.
  • Effectively present/communicate Service offerings and associated value proposition internally and externally.
  • Participate in Customer Executive Briefings (EBCs) to position Success value proposition and offerings.
  • Lead/co-lead cross-functional projects focused on driving better customer outcomes, both within the Success organization and in the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS/BE or Equivalent
  • Experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Experience in SaaS environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s level in a technical field and/or MBA.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in Technology / Management Consulting 
  • Mix of business and technical acumen with ability to engage and add value in discussions involving both technology and business strategy.
  • Understanding of SAAS business models from sales through implementation.
  • Creative, high-energy, self-starter comfortable running initiatives and handling conflicting demands creatively and quickly across various functional teams.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, executive management, and ability to be a trusted advisor to senior executives.

The base salary range for this position is 151,000 - 231,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
