Why We Need You:

We’re looking for a Data Engineering Manager with proven technical leadership experience and a passion for building a scalable team of data engineers. We expect you to provide guidance and be actively involved in the career development of your direct reports setting clear objectives and ensuring alignment with organizational V2Mom goals. In addition, we want the EM role to be a driver in engaging with multi-functional project teams to ideate and propose technology solutions influencing business decisions.

  • Lead a team that is continuously learning and improving 
  • Anticipate and provide solutions to problems and roadblocks 
  • Independently understand scheduling, cost constraints, and influence to other teams; and make resource and architectural trade-offs based on those factors
  • Interact with your team, customers, and peers to share information and improve cross-departmental processes 
  • Effectively build and maintain a network of key contacts across the company, and leverage these contacts to achieve results 
  • Communicate and work effectively with geographically distributed cross-functional teams 

Minimum Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or equivalent related professional experience 
  • 3-5 years experience in managing Data Engineering teams with either cloud architecture or ML engineering focus
  • Strong coordination and influencing skills 
  •  Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to stakeholders and within the team, resolving conflicts and gaining alignment
  • Experience working with AWS (preferred)
  • Experience in designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
  • Experience with an industry-recognized ML framework such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow
