Job Summary:

Allstate is continuing to enhance overall data capabilities to improve decision-making and increase efficiency. This Sr. Manager position (depending on level of experience) will take a lead role in designing and implementing data projects throughout Allstate with a heavy focus on financial data. This is a full-time exempt role reporting through the Chief Financial Officer.

This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Initiatives
•    Lead and support data projects throughout the company (heavy emphasis on financial data)
•    Collaborate with a cross-functional team of data specialists in several areas including technology and the business
•    Prioritization of local data work in accordance with enterprise priorities and frameworks
•    Business process redesign to maximize value of insights (Journey/BU/AORs)
•    Act as a point of contact to senior leaders providing timely updates and action plans for on-going data projects
•    Represents department in data acquisition decisions, including data sources and vendors

Strategic Planning
•    Assist with long-range strategic planning for data and reporting
•    Assist with the development and maintenance of Allstate’s data roadmap including potential strategy updates 
•    Provides direction to senior leadership and technology partners to ensure technology solutions are designed to both local business and global data strategy requirements
•    Identifies future data and data capabilities required by local departments to inform Data Strategy roadmaps 
•    Represents department in development of Enterprise Data Strategy

Delivery Lead
•    Responsible for delivery and accuracy of timely reports
•    Ensure production data is accurate with appropriate data definitions and catalogs
•    Be an active leader of various data governance committees throughout the company
•    Facilitate open lines of communication between and among the various data groups
•    Ensures local department conforms to enterprise data policies and procedures
•    Develops and ensures execution of roadmaps to accelerate organization and integration of local department’s data into centralized assets (i.e. Data Lake) 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science/Data Analytics or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management
     

Skills Needed:

  • Proficient in generating/analyzing data within relational databases
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Computer skills including experience with business intelligence software
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and build relationships to achieve common goals
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, innovation, risk-taking and resilience
  • Experience leveraging Agile models

Compensation offered for this role is $102,500.00-$170,375.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
