Autodesk customers make sense of the world through rich streams of data that might include 3D scans of buildings, fluid dynamic simulations, daily notes on the construction site, trends on product usage and more. As a Data Scientist Intern, you will get to apply your knowledge in data engineering, work with the latest machine learning models, contribute to the next-generation MLOps platform and make an impact by helping our customers create a better, safer, more sustainable world.
Responsibilities
Develop, prototype, and deploy machine learning models
Perform analysis on large datasets and produce qualitative visualizations based on reporting requirements
Develop analytical solutions and dashboards that integrate data from a wide variety of sources such as relational databases, AWS, data virtualization tools
Understand technology operations data from many different sources in detail to create these models
Optimize workflows and scripts on data lake for data cleaning, processing, and transformation
Extract and derive useful metrics and KPIs from raw data gathered from multiple data sources
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a Master's in Computer Science or Data Science.
Proficiency with data analysis using Python and experience with open-source data science toolkits (Pandas, SciKit-Learn, NLTK, etc.)
Familiarity with various statistical and machine learning techniques including classification, regression, dimension reduction, regularization, clustering and various multivariate methods
Familiarity with relational data modeling and SQL
Familiarity with Snowflake or comparable Data Warehouse and ETL tooling like Astronomer/Airflow and DBT.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience implementing and deploying data science models or data products in Production
Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
Experience working in an AWS environment and leveraging its offerings such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, SageMaker etc.
Be self-motivated, creative and collaborative
About the US Intern Program
The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in intern events such as TED talks, mentoring, fun events, and more. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March.
