Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for an Intern to work with our team of Cloud Infrastructure engineers supporting the Analytics Data Platform (ADP). This team is at the heart of Autodesk's efforts to transform how we create value for customers and make decisions through data. As an Intern with the Data Tools team, you will help create a robust and scalable platform for teams developing data products, analytics workflows, and ML models.
You will tackle hard problems to improve the platform's reliability, resiliency, scalability, and ease of use. Ideally you will be a self-starter, detail and quality oriented, and excited about the prospects of having a big impact with data at Autodesk.
Our tech stack includes Spark, Presto, Hive, Airflow, Jenkins, Snowflake, Datadog and various AWS services. We work in Python, Java, and SQL predominantly, but we choose the best tool for the job.
Responsibilities
Build and scale data infrastructure that powers batch and real-time data processing of billions of records daily
Automate cloud infrastructure, services, and observability
Help drive observability into the health of our data infrastructure and understanding of system behavior
Interface with data engineers, data scientists, product managers and all data stakeholders to understand their needs and promote best practices
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship or work experience
Strong overall programming skills, able to write modular, maintainable code in several languages
Interest in a large-scale infrastructure environment
Interest in building code-driven infrastructure on public cloud platforms such as AWS
Interest in automation frameworks/tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and CloudFormation
Familiarity with bash, Linux, Kubernetes or Infrastructure-As-Code principles
Problem solver with excellent written and interpersonal skills
About the US Intern Program
The 2023 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 22 – August 11 or June 12 – September 1) and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March.
