We are the Data Platform team at WEX.  We are dedicated to building our Enterprise Data Platform.  It is cloud-native, primarily built on Airflow, Python, dbt, Terraform, and Snowflake.  Using these technologies, we’re creating a trusted platform where business/data/financial analysts, marketing operations, and analytics teams across WEX can build data pipelines to support myriad business initiatives.

We need help!

Creating and maintaining a data platform is a lot of work.  From CI/CD automation to developing dbt pipelines to adding new features and integrations between the data platform and existing processes, we’ve got more work than we can handle and are looking for great people to join our team.

  • Have experience writing modern data pipelines deployed in the cloud.

  • Have worked on agile teams to deliver software iteratively.

At a minimum, you

  • Have a BS in an engineering field OR can make us feel intensely confident that you don’t need one.

  • Have 8+ years of experience working with data as a software developer or data practitioner.

  • Have experience building and maintaining modern data pipelines in the cloud at an Enterprise scale, ideally using Snowflake and dbt.

  • Eat, sleep and breathe data and modern technology.

  • Have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

It would be nice if you

  • Have demonstrable experience with CI/CD principles and trunk-based development.

  • Have experience leading scrum teams.

  • Can show us one or more passion projects or open-source work you have contributed to in your own time.

  • Have experience with AWS, Airflow, Docker, Qlik Replicate, or Fivetran..

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $113,000.00 - $150,000.00
