The FreeWheel Synergy team is a global team whose mission is to power the Audience, Identity, and Measurement functionality of Freewheel products. We operate at a tremendous scale - 10+TB ingested per day and over datasets containing more than a trillion records. Job Description As the team grows, we are looking for a savvy Lead Data Engineer to join the team and help build the next generation of Audience & Identity data platform that handles data at scale and uses state-of-the-art technologies to unlock the data’s business value. Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
• Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Develops software update processes for existing applications. Assists in the roll-out of software releases.
• Trains junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications.
• Oversees the researching, writing and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
• Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
• Assists with technical leadership throughout the design process and assists in guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide mentor for Software Development Engineers.
• Assists in tracking and evaluating performance metrics. Ensures team delivers software on time, to specification and within budget.
• Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Tests and evaluates systems, subsystems and components.
• Acts as a technical contact and liaison for outside vendors and/or customers.
• Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal and external audiences.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study
• 5+ years of hands-on work in the field of software development.
• 3+ years of experience with data applications and tools (Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, EMR, Presto, Datadog, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in designing and building ETL pipelines to process data at scale
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services like S3, EMR, Glue, EC2, ECS, IAM, CloudFormation, Athena, Lambda, and other AWS services
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS CodeBuild, Terraform, etc.
• Ability to write excellent quality code in Java, Scala, Python, or Golang.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins is preferred
• You can work with the command line.
• Must be versatile and an inquisitive problem solver with excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong skills in SQL and proven experience working with at least one of the major database platforms.
• Extra points if you have an AWS certification.
• Preference for past Freewheel MRM experience.

Salary:

National Pay Range: $105,722.82 USD-$247,787.85 USD

Additional Range: This job can be performed in New York, with a Pay Range of $158,584.23 USD - $237,876.34 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
