Curai Health is on a mission to expand healthcare access and deliver the best in class care to everyone. We run a virtual primary care clinic, and leverage AI and machine learning to help our doctors work more quickly and effectively with patients. At Curai Health we are building a diverse, world-class, multi-disciplinary team across engineering, AI research, product, design, operations and medicine. Our Curaians come from a variety of backgrounds, are mission oriented, embody our core values and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of millions of people.
We are looking for Machine Learning Engineering interns from strong technical backgrounds, who share our passion to make a positive impact in the lives of millions of people. ML Engineering interns at Curai get to implement novel ML applications to lower the cost and friction of high-quality health care for patients around the world.
Our current openings are for Fall 2021.
Our current focus areas include clinical decision making (e.g medical diagnosis in-the-wild and explainability), medical NLP (e.g. medical dialogs in the wild, summarization), and ML learning loops in a healthcare context.
At Curai, ML Engineer interns are mentored 1:1 by experienced ML Engineers and Researchers, and get to collaborate with our clinical team on solving real problems, using real data.
We offer competitive compensation, and the ability to leave your footprint in the early stages of a company that will change the world for the better. We are located in Palo Alto, in the heart of Silicon Valley but internships are fully remote, can start any time of the year and typically last 12 weeks, though we are always open to collaboration beyond the internship.
For more context on our company, please watch this video from our CTO Xavier Amatriain or read this blog post. For more information on our research read this blog post about NLP-related projects, or read our first two research publications about combining expert systems with Deep Learning and using Deep Learning for Dermatology disease classification.
We are highly committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment at Curai. In keeping with our beliefs and goals, no employee or applicant will face discrimination or harassment based on race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, age, gender, marital domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, or veteran status. To promote an equitable and bias-free workplace, we do not negotiate compensation outside of our existing salary bands, which we base on external data.
