About the role:

As the Data Analytics Manager, you’ll play an important role in Borrowell’s growth by leading the data analytics team. Reporting to the Data Lead, you will ensure that Borrowell’s significant data assets are used strategically to create innovative products that solve user problems and achieve business goals. You’ll be an evangelist for data usage, security and making data-driven decisions across the business. You will support Borrowell’s mission to make financial stability possible for everyone.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team that builds analytics and reporting solutions: planning, setting goals, training and conducting performance evaluations
  • Develop the quarterly roadmap with the data analytics team
  • Partner with product and engineering to acquire data from numerous sources and to develop data products as a service
  • Partner with our business units to develop new insights and guide their use of data

Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience working collaboratively to create, implement and optimize robust data solutions at scale
  • Team leadership experience managing and guiding a high-performing team
  • Experience with SQL, data analysis, visualization tools (we use Looker)
  • Experience using quantitative approaches to deliver business insights and drive change
  • Experience leading major end-to-end analytic projects (planning, design, hands-on development, stakeholder management, communication and maintenance)

We are remote-first across Canada, meaning you have no mandatory obligation to come in-office unless you choose to do so - you decide what is best for you. Our offices are located in Toronto, Kelowna, and Montreal, with teams distributed primarily in Ontario and BC.
