Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia

The Manager, Data Integration role will join the data engineering team of a healthcare data and analytics software company. This role reports to the Director of Data Integration and will involve leading a team of 3-8 data engineers responsible for implementing and/or supporting Arcadia’s EHR connectors.

What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the Arcadia connector technology
- Achieve familiarity with standard operating procedures for team
- Establish credibility with key stakeholders and build relationships with team members
- Oversee day-to-day work of team members, with support

In 6 months
-  Independently manage the day-to-day work of the team and offer strong support to team members on individual project execution
- Provide ongoing active contribution to methodology and process for team operations.
- Be recognized by key stakeholders as committed, disciplined, self-motivated and self-organizing
- Build relationships with customer stakeholders for active product rollouts

In 12 months
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives with other Data Operations or Customer Management peers
- Become a sought-after expert on the connector domains within your teams purview
- Engage consultatively with customer stakeholders to help ensure the success of their data integration

What You'll Be Doing

    • Overseeing the building, testing, and deployment of high-quality connectors and ingestion pipelines, incorporating lessons learned for continuous improvement
    • Engage in sprint planning, product grooming, Jira task management, and other administrative responsibilities to support efficient development processes
    • Serve as a key member of the connector leadership team contributing to the company’s data integration strategy
    • Act as a designated subject matter expert and business owner for EHR data and clinical implementation, as well as optimization projects for the way we implement and support our connectors
    • Provide hands on oversight for connector work with customers and assist team members with troubleshooting and clearing technical obstacles
    • Engage directly with clients and serve as an advisor throughout the connector life cycle
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of team and company objectives
    • Evaluate team performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify areas to improve timeliness and quality of delivery, the achievement of key metrics, or customer satisfaction
    • Cover the following supervisory responsibilities for team:
    • Oversee the daily work of the team,
      Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations,
      Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff,
      Handle performance management of employees in accordance with company policy.

What You'll Bring

    • A bachelor’s degree in business, science, technology, or healthcare
    • 10+ years working experience in technology or data & analytics with a healthcare focus
    • Experience working directly with customers as a technical advisor  
    • Extensive coding experience in SQL/Spark/Scala for data transformation
    • Demonstrated spirit of innovation and continuous improvement
    • Independent idea generation and problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including ability to create powerful materials in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

Would Love For You To Have

    • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
    • A positive attitude and willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment
    • Proven track record in leading teams to achieve complicated, challenging objectives
    • Technical experience with NoSQL databases, database architecture, cloud architecture, Java, Python, Kafka, Nifi, and AWS
