All of this is made possible by the industry leading AI technology built by our Machine Learning (ML) team. We’re looking for a Manager of Computer Vision to join us in our journey to build impactful and bleeding edge Dental AI and research.

What you will do

• Lead a team of talented AI/ML scientists who like to tackle hard Computer Vision and NLP problems in the dental domain and productionalize it.
• Have the technical expertise to understand and support scientists when making technical decisions, including choosing model architectures and techniques, and labeling and training strategies .
• Have the technical capacity to partner with tech leads and be comfortable diving into the fray to help drive resolution in the case of incidents.
• Take responsibility for the team’s short-term and long-term strategy. Define the team's roadmap, success metrics, and priorities in close collaboration with other engineering teams and multi-functional partners.
• Own your team’s deliverables and ensure we develop scalable, repeatable AI/ML solutions and rapidly iterate on them to delight our users and customers.
• Be an aggressive source of AI/ML talent and be comfortable closing high potential candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines for regulated and non-regulated applications
• Implement and maintain metrics for tracking ML models performance.
• Design and develop microservices and APIs related to data ingestion, machine learning, and product quality.
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Provide leadership and Mentorship to other team members 
• Develop and maintain Good Machine Learning Practice (GMLP)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing ML Teams
• 5+ years of production experience
• 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
• Strong knowledge of Computer Vision in some combination of Transformer, CNN, Self-supervised learning, Representation learning, Multi-modal learning and other promising areas. 
• Recent publications in leading industry conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR etc or medical imaging specific conferences is a strong plus. 
• Computer science or engineering background with Software Engineering experience; MS or PhD in machine learning or equivalent work experience a plus. Computer vision experience and/or medical imaging experience is a strong plus.
• Experience building auto-scaling ML systems
• Experience building tools for ML scientists
• Experience with database systems including BigQuery, Postgres, MongoDB
• Strong programming skills in Python
