The Role 

We are looking for a meticulous SDET to contribute to and review the performance of ML algorithms. The SDET's responsibilities include both data and algorithm testing tasks and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of algorithms. We are looking for someone with curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and tool sets as this role will grow from Automating testing of the cloud solution to Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) testing. The SDET will get a chance to work on ML-specific test strategies, and build testing frameworks. They would gain the opportunity to learn, work and contribute to the innovative solution at Overjet.

The SDET should be a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process. As a SDET you should have excellent time management and organizational skills as well as strong communication skills. You should have a passion for designing, development, and testing and the ability to upgrade your technical skills within the constantly changing technology sector.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the flow of ML pipeline and how different components interact.
  • Understanding project documents, clinical requirements, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
  • Sampling representative data for model training, validation and testing, setting up data labeling projects for the annotation team and quality controlling received annotations. 
  • Investigating customer problems referred to you by the technical support team, testing bugs, and creating and managing bug reports.
  • Working with deployments teams, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
  • Providing technical documents on test protocols and test reports to regulatory bodies including FDA for 510K clearance. 
  • Noting all testing actions you have performed in daily and weekly reports.
  • Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
  • Managing the final quality on ML production release.

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years experience in software testing. 
  • 1+ years experience with Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) testing.
  • Proficient in Python. 
  • Knowledge of how to extract, analyze and communicate quality metrics during a release cycle.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Experience with Bash scripting, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP)
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MongoDB, Postgres, and MySQL.
  • Strong communication skills and great product sense.
  • Strong passion for building products. Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
  • Embrace startup culture, and want to be challenged with complex issues.
  • Experience with regulatory
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts and methodologies. 
  • Bachelors, Masters in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Systems/Information Technology/ Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or other related technical fields.
