Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia

The Measure Validation role will join the data operations team of a healthcare data and analytics software company. This role reports to the Manager of Analytics and will involve performing deep comparative analytics of quality measures (such as HEDIS, eCQM, and ACO measures) and working closely with customer analysts to help them understand their quality measure performance, how aligned it is with their baseline expectations, and what the drivers of those differences are.

What Success Looks Like..
In 3 months
- Complete a training rotation through covering platform basics and common work assignments, achieving task independence in common validation tasks with the assistance of a senior team member
- Develop technical skills needed to work in a cutting-edge big data platform, including AWS S3, AWS Athena, Python, and SQL
- Learn about Arcadia’s product and market, and how data enables our customers’ success

In 6 months
- Take on ownership of individual measure investigations, quantifying the difference between actual and baseline and then digging into the possible drivers of the delta
- Develop cross-team relationships (Account Management, Implementation Management, Data Engineering, and Product)
- Begin drafting customer facing status updates covering findings and progress

In 12 months
- Ramp up to a full portfolio of validation projects and related assignments
- Be able to handle complex tasks and investigations independently and communicate nuances and issues articulately to internal and external audiences
- Develop innovative approaches to validation and investigation approaches, by using your deep industry experience, and then share these innovations across teams
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in one or more specific quality measures

What You'll Be Doing

    • Preparing and analyzing high volume  healthcare data
    • Creating value for Arcadia’s customers by enabling their successful use of quality measures and supporting our customers’ success in value-based care
    • Balancing and delivery analysis and accompanying insights throughout a measure validation project engagement
    • Providing input to other data teams on common upstream drivers of measure deltas and informing investments in quality tooling
    • Working closely with the product team on the roadmap direction for Arcadia measure content
    • Collaborating with talented colleagues – Account Managers, Implementation Managers, and Data Engineers—to ensure customers have the data they need to improve population health
    • Learning new tools and technologies, as Arcadia evolves its technology stack and adopts the latest methodologies and practices in the cloud

What You'll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or quantitative field, or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of experience as a data analyst at a tech company or healthcare organization
    • Ability to query and manipulate relational databases with SQL or familiarity with other languages such as Python or R
    • Eagerness to learn, a detail-oriented mindset, and a creative approach to problem solving
    • Ability to adapt to changing technology and healthcare environments

Would Love For You To Have

    • A passion for collaboration and problem solving
    • Exposure to AWS data products (S3, EC2, Athena, Redshift, etc.)
    • Experience in value-based care, quality measure performance, and NCQA HEDIS measures specifically
    • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
