As a People Analyst, you will apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and data visualization techniques to help shape the people strategy at Pinterest. In this role, you will be expected to support the team in creating metrics dashboards, producing operational KPIs, and partnering with stakeholders on the People team to support Pinterest leaders, managers, and employees.
What you’ll do:
- Develop reporting solutions and dashboards to show current state and progress on People team KPIs
- Analyze trends and provide value-added insights through the use of statistical analysis
- Support development of data analytic products with self-service capabilities for stakeholders
- Support automation and preparation of regular reports on the People team’s KPIs
- Advocate for continuous improvement by identifying clear measures of success and influencing process design to enable more effective data products
- Define business needs through discovery sessions with key stakeholder
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years experience in similar type of work preferred
- Ability to build small to midsize business intelligence (BI) solutions – data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses – or components of larger solutions to answer business questions with data
- Use one or more industry analytics visualization tools (in particular Tableau)
- Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity
- Experience with SQL and Python
- Prior experience in a quantitative analysis role, preferably in Human Resources
- Basic understanding of complex statistical methods (regressions, random forest, etc.) is a plus as you will be partnering with our People Analytics team
- Experience in data storytelling and use of data visualizations to bring important takeaways to life
- Ability to create narratives and support business partners to engage in data-driven decision making
- Experience in Human Resources technology and tools, including experience with Workday, Greenhouse, or other ATS is a plus

- This is a temporary contract position at Pinterest. As such, the contractor who fills this role will be employed either by our staffing partner (PRO Unlimited) or by an agency supplier partner, and not an employee of Pinterest.
- All interviews will be scheduled and/or conducted by the Pinterest assignment manager. When a finalist has been selected, PRO Unlimited or the agency supplier partner will extend the offer and provide assignment details including duration, benefits options and onboarding details.
